Immigrant Visa Processing Times |
|
Below
you will find estimated processing times for both
consular and state-side (adjustment) processing. Please
note that these are estimated processing times.
Any particular case may be faster or slower. Also,
emergent circumstances and changing priorities at the US
Immigration & Naturalization Service and the
Department of State may affect overall processing time
targets for those agencies. Note: processing
times for nurse licensure will vary depending on how
long it takes states, provinces, and countries to submit
verification forms. |
| Warning:
there is nothing that a petitioning company, an
alien beneficiary, or an experienced attorney
can do to speed up the process--but there is
plenty that a less-than-diligent person can do
to slow it down! For your own
protection, avoid
petitioners and attorneys who promise to
complete the immigrant visa process within a
certain time frame. None of us have
control over processing time. |
